Runes are unique tokens on the Bitcoin blockchain, representing various assets or utilities. Runes is a faster, efficient, and more scalable solution to increase Bitcoin utility than its BRC-20 predecessors. Runes uses a UTXO-model to mint Runes that can be inscribed with unique properties at minimal on-chain processing cost.
